ICU Meds app for iPhone and iPad

ICU Meds is meant to instantly instruct physicians on how to dose IV drips commonly used in the ICU. This dosing information is made available within 2 clicks to save time in an emergency. Some commonly used IV and PO medications are also included.

Unlike the typical IV drip rate calculator made for nursing staff, ICU drips targets physicians. Therefore this app emphasizes dosages, ranges of rates at which drips can be administered, and the multitude of medication options available to reach the same outcome.

For example, the same screen displays all of the IV drips used to sedate a patient in the ICU with their recommended dosing range, the generic name of the medication, and the mechanism of action. This allows the clinician to instantly consider the available options and pick the best medication for the individual patient.

This app should also be useful to residents, fellows and medical students who are not overly familiar with how to dose ICU drips.
